Dear Readers,
Now that Sport for Our Neighbours is complete and about to release, I’d love your help deciding what to work on next. I’ve had both of these stories underway for a while, and I’m excited about each one—but I’d love to know which you’d be most interested in reading first.
My goal is to finish both within the next year (or sooner!), but your input would mean a lot as I choose which project to dive into next.

I have a feeling this one will be a little tougher to write since I’ve never done a story in the first person before, but, yes, it has the potential for some serious longing between ODC.

I wrote the first chapter of this some time back and I’ve occasionally picked it back up to add to it since. It will be a fun one to write.
Hope your up for the challenge. My vote is a Moment Frozen in time. I am leaning towards anything even remotely supernatural or fantasy right now. Though I know they will both will make a good story.

A Moment Frozen in Time is more of the type of plot I gravitate toward, but I think you should write whichever one your brain is filling in the most rapidly right now. That will be the one you’re currently the most motivated by, which means both stories will come out better if you write that one first.
This isn’t the first time my brain can’t decide on a particular story. A lot of times, I end up bouncing back and forth between 2-3 stories before one grabs hold. :) I’ve been trying to go back and read them both to see which one clicks.
Well, today is my birthday and I like both premises. So…my wish is that you write them both. I love all your work, the journies that you take Elizabeth and Darcy are always interesting. Good luck. Have a great vacation!
A Moment Frozen in Time sounds like exactly the kind of story I enjoy most, so that gets my vote.

They both sound very interesting but A Moment Frozen in Time has piqued my interest. What is the memory? And why does it affect Darcy?
I read a snippet of this a few months back at one of the Reader/Writer Work in Progress sessions. It’s certainly a different story than what I have usually written, in part because of the first person point of view. Thanks for voting.

I’m not confused on why you’re stumped because I want to read both! However, I will vote for A Moment In Time. I say challenge yourself. Your writing can only grow even better than it already is if you continue to stretch yourself. Enjoy your vacation!
Yes, they both have intrigued me for some time. It will be fun to write them both but A Moment Frozen in Time will certainly be more challenging.

I am ready for something a little supernatural, though I freely admit that I normally do not look for that genre on purpose.
There are slight supernatural elements, mainly related to what stops Darcy from insulting Elizabeth. Not sure how much that will carry through the story, but I’m sure it will repeat at least once or twice more.
The Very Best of Friends. One of my favorite tropes is when D&E get together early in the story and fight the world together, just as we would with our best friend. Please don’t enter me in the drawing-I don’t have audible. Have fun on your vacation. Make wonderful memories, savor the moments.
Gotta be A Moment Frozen in Time. I am ready to read this one right now…but don’t suspend your vacation on my account! 😆
Yeah, it will be a while before it gets finished. I’m hoping that I’ll have a lot of time this summer to work, but I can’t imagine I’ll publish another story before mid-September or so. I need to do better about when I start posting on Substack though, so it gets finished before the release.

I read the best of friends beginning the end of Sport 9f our neighbors. Thought it was almost a complete short story as it was. Great premise.

If you have a contractual deadline, The Best of Friends makes the most sense. But A Moment Frozen in Time has a lesser used opening and the potential for a fresher view.
I understand why it is hard to pick. I want to read both! But if I have to chose “A Moment Frozen in Time” as it is a bit different

They both sound so interesting, but I would like The Very Best of Friends first. I do believe though that you should go with whichever story is calling to you as you sit to write! Some stories don’t want to wait!

I read Sport for our Neighbors today, loved the length as I prefer a bare minimum of 350 pages with more being even better!! The Very Best of Friends sounds wonderful and it definitely gets my vote!
